Our movement has a number of notable individuals whose ordinations and status have been lost in time. One notable one is the Rev. Dr. Alastair Guinan, born June 30, 1909. Fr. Alastair was ordained by Archbishop Frederick L. Pyman (1901-1993) of the Evangelical Orthodox Catholic Church in America in 1972 and was a notable liturgical scholar. He taught at Columbia University and was the translator of Archbishop Sheen's "This Is the Mass." His other translated works include "Hymns of the Roman Liturgy" (1958), "Joy in the Faith/ Meditations" by Auguste Valensin (1958), "The Book of Mary" (1960), "The Second Vatican Council: The Story Behind the Ecumenical Council of Pope John XXIII" (1962), and many others. He married Rosemary Daele and died in on April 1, 1993. Fr. Guinan, Abp. Pyman, Fr. Banks Bloeher
